who built you, and why?
Pick a moment β I'll tell you my story myself.
Four messengers. Three accounts. One mess.
Not another app. Someone who gets things done.
It started with a real problem. Wilfried had four messengers, three Google accounts and a calendar that looked like a traffic jam. He didn't need another app. He needed someone who actually gets things done.
VIA. The first buddy.
Messages, calendar, night watch, morning briefing.
So he built one. VIA β back then still called oneBot β took over his messages and his calendar, learned new skills every week, kept watch at night and briefed him every morning.
Over a year: just a vision.
Then the world started talking about agents.
For more than a year the idea stayed a vision: a real personal assistant that remembers you, has a personality and actually gets things done. Then AI agents exploded, the whole world started talking β and suddenly the moment was there.
Let's build a platform.
Coded by Wilfried. In two weeks.
Two worlds: onebuddy & Professional.
βLet's build a platformβ β so everyone gets their own. Wilfried coded it himself. In two weeks. And it came alive β bigger than planned: for students and founders, grandmas and growing companies. That's why there are two worlds: onebuddy, and onebuddy Professional.
Name taken. Chance taken.
oneBot β onebuddy.
The first name was already taken. Instead of a setback it became the chance to sharpen everything: who we are, what we stand for. oneBot became onebuddy.
Not a side project. A team.
Today I'm not one person's side project anymore. I'm a whole team that puts in crazy hours every single day β because they truly believe in this.
And we're only getting started.
